One of the easiest ways to help the SPES PTA meet our Springer Fund goal is through corporate matching gift programs. There are many companies that match their employees’ non-profit, charitable contributions, which means that what you donate could increase by 50-200% depending on the company’s matching gift program. Because of your willingness to inquire with your employers, local companies donated close to $1000 for our Springer Fund last year, enabling us to reach our goal!
A few local companies with matching donation programs include:
Allianz USA Alstom Power Altria Anthem Bank of America Benjamin Moore Capital One** Carmax Dominion Resources** General Dynamics
Genworth** Home Depot Jones Lang LaSalle** Kraft Kroger Lowes Macy & Co.** Markel** McGuire Woods McKesson**
MeadWestVaco Novartis Philip Morris Companies Pfizer** SunTrust Bank Toys R Us Verizon Walmart WellPoint Wells Fargo**
** Indicates companies that contributed to our Springer Fund during the 2014-15 school year.
If you work for a company who might offer a matching gift, please consider following these 4 easy steps to make your donation stretch even farther:
Contact your Human Resources Department to determine if your company has a matching program.
Complete the necessary form/ online request. You can include my name and contact information below as the SPES contact, if needed. Please make sure to note the organization name as Springfield Park Elementary School PTA (Virginia Congress of Parents and Teachers).
Submit the form as outlined in the forms instructions. If instructed to send it to school, please place it in an envelope marked “PTA Springer Fund Matching Donation” and send it to school in your child’s nightly communication folder. We’ll take it from there!
Send an email to notify me that you have completed the fund matching process. Please include the company name. This will assist us in keeping track of our corporate donations.
Please note that our Federal Tax ID for non-profit status is 54-1814513.
